Apis India contributes to generate employment opportunities in Uttarakhand
Apis India, the leading exporter, manufacturer and supplier of honey products in the country, has been generating employment in the Uttarakhand region since its inception in 1982. Apis India, which is the 2nd largest exporters of Honey, is led by Vimal Anand the Managing Director and Amit Anand, the Joint Managing Director of the organization. Apis India has employed over 500 local people of the region in its largest manufacturing facility in Roorkee, Uttarakhand and have 500 salesperson across India. The employees enjoy all the facilities at their manufacturing plant as per the government norms.
Besides this over the years the company has also created a large base of beekeepers spread across diversified geography such as Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh to meet its qualitative and quantitative requirement of honey. More than 80 percent of its annual yield of honey (12,000 tonnes) is shipped to the US, North Africa, Latin America and Middle East etc.
Apis India has world-class in-house facilities for testing lab; processing and filtration for honey. It has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility spread over 7 acres in Roorkee with a capacity to process over 100 tonnes of honey per day. With a mission to make pure and natural products a part of consumers everyday life, the company has also forayed into tea, cookies and preserves considering the changing purchase dynamics and growing needs of quality branded packaged products. The company is further pushing into FMCG industry with their new product Kimia Dates, initially available in Hyderabad and soon in other regions as well.
Apis India also provides specialized honey, which comprises ginger, lemon, organic, honey with nuts, and honey with comb which is the winner of numerous international, industry and Government Honey Exports. APIS India products have been benchmarked to meet all European Union and other International Standards.
APIS India has been announced to get bronze award for the year of 2015-16 export from Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.
